This text and software package is designed to teach you how to use 10-key calculators by touch using computer assisted instruction and the computer numberpad. You will become versed in the use of the desktop calculator and the Windows® calculator. Finally, partially completed Excel® spreadsheets are provided to help you develop your data entry skills.

            Intel 486 processor or equivalent

            16 Meg ram (32 Meg recommended)

            VGA (640 x 480) or SVGA (800 x 600) 256 color or higher

            CDROM Drive (Installation only)

            3 meg available (Drive C)

            Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, or NT

            Windows Excel is required for completion of spreadsheet exercises

Actual keystrokes may be printed-Upon the completion of each lesson, drill, and test for diagnostic purposes keystrokes can be printed with incorrect keystrokes marked with asterisks.

 

  • Helps students recognize recurring mistakes and correct them.

 Timing bars-Appear on screens to give the student an idea of his/her progress during timed lessons, drills and tests.

  • Allows student to self-evaluate their progress.

 Check marks in the pull-down menus-Indicate which activities have been completed.

  • Makes it easy for students to see where they are in the course.

 Logs containing scores for lessons, drills and tests-May be printed at any time.  In addition, individual logs containing scores for Drills 1-6 may be printed. 

  • Students and instructors can track progress and skill level.

 Several partially completed spreadsheet files are included. 

  • Allows students to obtain experience in entering numeric data in spreadsheets.
