Digital badges are online credentials that learners can post on platforms such as email and social media networks to show skills they’ve learned and demonstrated through the completion of badge criteria.

Learners earn this Critical and Creative Thinking badge by demonstrating basic competency in identifying and evaluating claims and evidence, separating fact from opinion, identifying unknowns, recognizing bias, identifying problems, generating and evaluating possible solutions, observation, and considering different perspectives with an open mind.

KNOWLEDGE and APPLY badges are available. The difference is in who assesses whether the learner gets the badge. This a KNOWLEDGE badge, which means the assessment is auto-graded.

Available in a range of Skill levels, this “Level 1” badge demonstrates base knowledge of the skills outlined.

Once learners complete the work to earn the badge, they’re guided to accept and share it, to give visibility to the achievement online in a way that’s verifiable. Learn more
