New to this Edition

This edition covers the new features of iOS 7.

  • iOS 7 offers iPad and iPhone users a completely new look for their device. The new glass-like interface and color scheme gives the iOS the look of a complete overhaul. Typography is redone, all the icons are redesigned, and translucency for onscreen items has been added. There is also something of a 3D home screen. If you tilt the phone and you can see behind the onscreen elements. You can also swipe between apps rather than moving to them using the Home button.
  • The new features  include a new Control Center for quick access to common settings, a completely redesigned Game Center, the option to add multiple pages to a folder of icons, significant updates to Calendar, Mail, Safari, Siri, Photos, Camera, App Store, and more. The Music app now includes access to iTunes Radio. Apple's new streaming music service can be access ad-free for anyone who uses iTunes Match service. Multitasking has now been added for all apps and you can respond to notifications from apps right in the notification itself. You no longer have to move to the app to respond to a notification.
